ur de Bretagne

You can see this standing stone in the very middle of a field to the north of Mur de Bretagne (Wall of Brittany), in the village of St Gilles vieux marché.

To the north-east of Mur de Bretagne there is Notre Dame de Lorette and the fountain that has healing powers.

Pilgrims and tourists go to this fountain to be healed and they throw a coin into the water.
The fountain is embellished with a low-relief sun (the relic from a sun-worship ?) and it is characteristic of the still living water-worship in Brittany.

You can see alignments of standing stones at the top of the hill very near the chapel.

That proves that the Christian places of worship were often erected on sacred pagan places.
The site approximately dates back to 2000 BC.
