THE CELTIC CROSS

The Celtic Cross is the most beautiful and the most complete symbol of the Druidic Cosmogony
Thanks to this living book Druidic science and philosophy were passed down in their entirety during centuries of secrecy, and in this living book those who learnt how to read its language can become the successors of the ancient Druids.

GRAPHICS OF THE CROSS

ESOTERICISM OF THE CROSS

1) The three circles

The cross is made of three concentric circles and their diameters have the following ratios : 9, 27, 81.
The 81 circle is the Divine circle or Keugant.
The 27 circle is the circle of Migrations or Abred.
The 9 circle is the circle of the White Light or Gwenwed.

2) The eight circles that are tangent to Gwenwed

The four angles that form the Symbol of the Cross represent the four elements (Water, Air, Fire, Earth) united in a fifth : Ether.

Description of the various circles :
On the left side : Colour red, Number 5, Planet Mars or Teutates

THE TRIBAN

According to the druidic teachings : "Men Heim watched the light, saw the Three Columns that were light and sound at the same time, and understood that Word and Light produced Life".
So the Uncreated gives rise to the three fundamental principles from which all the Forces of Creation stem.
They are the three principles the Druids represent by three rays that never meet at a point, the point being situated in the infinity of Keugant.
The Druids render these Three Sounds of Light (or conversely these Three Rays of Sound) into the three letters O.I.V. and they wear a triban on their bandeau.

LE OAK TREE
The oak tree is the symbol of the druid. With the curative function of the tannins there is a protective function against sun and rain thanks to the hardness and longevity of the oak wood.

Besides the mistletoe is picked on an oak tree. Mistletoe is also very important, it grows without a human intervention, and the berries become ripe after the winter sleep.
Thus the mistletoe berry is the symbol of the Resurrection of the reincarnated Spirit.

THE TRISKELL

The triskell is a common widespread symbol in Brittany, it has no esoteric meaning. It emerged very early, the men of the megaliths used it as an ornament.
The triskell has many meanings :
The cycle of life (childhood, adulthood, old age)
The three elements (water, air, earth)
The path of the sun

The triskell can turn in both directions : a positive day direction (towards the right) that represents peace. A negative night direction (towards the left) that is evil or war.
